Are you team dinner at the table or on the couch?

At the table. I love hosting dinner parties and making the table and the house feel cozy. Secretly, I actually care more about the decor than the food.

Who or what inspires you every day?

The place where I live now: Monaco. I moved here recently, and it continues to surprise me every day. I think a lot of people have a certain image of Monaco, but once you really get to know it, you discover so many beautiful spots. Plus, you’re just a short trip away from the most beautiful parts of Italy and the South of France.

What are 3 hosting, interior or cooking tips you always live by?

  1. Don't try too hard. Don’t suddenly try to make a complicated recipe if that’s not your style. Choose something you know tastes good and can’t go wrong.
  2. Make sure you have good music. It really bothers me when I’m eating somewhere and there’s no music or a bad playlist.
  3. Candles, lots and lots of candles. That instantly makes the table cozy.

Are you team full fridge or empty fridge?

Empty fridge. I usually stock up on basic items that will last me a few days. I try to throw away as little food as possible, so I cook with whatever I already have on hand. It really gets you to get creative ;)

Which three things can always be found in your kitchen?

  1. Paprika powder. Simple, but I use it almost all the time.
  2. Crispy chili oil. It’s a bit of an obsession, I think it goes well with absolutely everything.
  3. A small, super-sharp paring knife. I got it from my grandmother, who’s an amazing cook, and it’s still my favorite. This one definitely came with me when I moved.

What’s your go-to dish to impress without stress?

“Impressing” might be a bit of a stretch, but my go to salad is always a hit: sweet potato, chicken, feta, avocado, cucumber, and walnuts, with a dressing made from olive oil, mustard, and honey.

What do you love most about what you do?

Probably that every project is different. I get to meet lots of nice, creative people, travel a lot, and have been able to turn my passion into my career.

What are your favourite Pien’s Tables items?

I have the Alba plates and the oval serving tray myself, and I’m absolutely in love with them. I also saw that some really cute new placemats are coming soon, I’m definitely going to order those.

If you knew it would be a success, what would you do?

I would start my own high-end blazer brand. Everyone who knows me knows I’m obsessed with blazers. They instantly make any outfit look put together, whether it’s for daytime or evening wear.

Which song always sets the perfect mood at your table?

I don’t have one specific song, but I always play the “Feel Good Evening Mix” on Spotify. It’s a playlist based on the songs you’ve listened to, and it’s almost always a hit.

We won’t let you go without our favorite question: what dish could you never get enough of?

Lemon meringue pie for sure. I have a real sweet tooth and could seriously eat this every day.
